Gay Pride!

For the past two summers I have visited my brother in St. Petersburg, Florida and we watched the Gay Pride Parade there. Leading off the parade was this massive group of female motorcyclists. I was extremely impressed, since I can't even ride a bicycle because my sense of balance is nonexistent. 

Little by little I will add other pictures from the parade. I will miss it this year by a few weeks, but it's always quite a success and each year it gets bigger. Most of the parade was in the rain this past summer, but they completed the journey in high spirits. 

Before the parade starts, all kinds of friends gather at Georgie's Alibi for breakfast, since Georgie's is not limited to gays. They have superb hamburgers and other good food, plus the requisite drinks.

You might want to plan a trip to St. Petersburg, FL this summer and attend the Gay Pride Parade the last Saturday of June. You can tell them that Fanny sent you, but they might not want to remember me!
