Swingin’ On A Star

This is a topic that never seems to go out of style. Some people are engaged in swinging on a regular basis. Other are curious and want to learn more before giving it a whirl. There are those who don’t think they’d ever try it, but are titillated by reading about it.

I admit that we’ve tried it, and for us, it was just so-so. We might try it again someday, but we have no plans in that direction at this point. It depends a lot on the other folks, of course, and simply being friends with another couple doesn’t mean they would make good swingers.

If you just want to find out more about it, as well as get a literal glimpse of history, go to Netflix or one of the video stores and look for American Swing, a documentary on Plato’s Retreat, a now defunct swinging club. It was originally a gay bath house, then converted to a swingers club. It finally closed, but reopened again in Ft. Lauderdale. It closed again just a few years ago and reopened recently as a men’s club.
